Mitch Mauricio’s Anik-Anik Love shows us the intimate work spaces of some of today’s most creative minds.
Sometimes, it’s the passion projects that shoot into the sky and light up the scenery. That’s the case for 29- year old photographer Michelle Mauricio, whose friends call her Mitch. Last December, she proudly picked up the award for Best Culture and Arts blog in the 2010 Philippine Blog awards. “I’m super happy about the award because I wasn’t expecting it.” It was an anonymous supporter who nominated the blog, which goes to show the amount of genuine support her site has been receiving.
Her blog entitled Anik- Anik Love features the spaces of some of the top creative minds of our time. “I’ve always been interested in the creative mind and process — how does one artwork get from idea to completion, what inspires Filipino artists, how do they live or work” Mitch says. “I think we surround ourselves with stuff that inspire us like books, toys, dvds, etc, so in a way our collections and surroundings reflect how we think.”
